protect the peaks

We have been asked to support the local Brownie & Guide Group

Dear Sir/Madam.

My name is Hollie and I am a Brownie from the Clapham and Austwick group. We are a joint unit of Brownies and guides working on a community project about people leaving litter in the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks area.  In our project we have been learning about hew long it takes for different types of litter to decompose. We have made posters to put up explaining about reusing bottles and cups instead of throwing them away. Also for people to take their rubbish home. We talked about how plastic and other litter can make animals and birds poorly or even die. Having litter everywhere makes the countryside look a mess.

I an writing to you to kindly ask if you could think about ways of reducing waste. This could be by using less plastic packaging or offering paper bags, or by using reusable coffee cups.

Thank you so much for your time and everything you do to support our local area.

Yours Sincerely,

Hollie
